Tips & How-Tos

Get the most out of your printables with these practical guides

How to Print for Best Results

Set your printer to "Best Quality" or "Photo" mode and choose "Fit to Page" or "Actual Size." All pages are formatted for US letter (8.5″ × 11″) but print correctly on A4 as well. For pages you plan to frame or keep, use 24–28 lb bright white paper for crisper lines. Plain copy paper is perfectly fine for everyday classroom use.

Best Coloring Supplies for These Pages

Colored pencils give the most control for fine-line detail work and are the easiest to blend. Crayons are ideal for younger children and large bold designs. Gel pens add great contrast to mandala pages. Avoid markers on thin copy paper — they can bleed through. Watercolor pencils (wet lightly after coloring) create a beautiful stained-glass look on our mandala and cross pages.

Using Coloring Pages in Sunday School

Coloring pages work in Sunday school as an arrival activity while students settle in, as a craft that reinforces the day's Bible lesson, or as a take-home reminder of the week's verse. Bible verse pages double as Scripture memorization aids — encourage students to read the verse aloud before and after coloring. Completed pages make a great bulletin board display or a simple gift for parents.

Integrating Printables into Homeschool

Coloring pages are natural cross-curricular tools. Use a psalm page as Bible and copywork in the same sitting. Pair American flag pages with a civics or history lesson. Use Christmas mandala pages during an Advent unit to practice fine motor skills alongside a devotional reading. Because every page on FaithUSA is free and printable on demand, you can always grab the right page the moment a topic comes up — no advance ordering needed.
